Copper-alloy asymmetrical buckle. Rectangular loop, outer edge of frame has raised median wavy moulded ridge and is facetted on either side. Large lion's head and mane forming rounded end with irregular edge. Much gilding surviving on the upper surface. Trace of pin and iron corrosion on upper surface from pin.

Sub-rectangular double-loop buckle with moulded lion's head and mane motif at either end forming a trapezoidal frame. Gently convex in profile. Semi-circular facets along outer edge of frame. Traces of gilding on upper surface. Clothing fasteners with similar lion's head motifs were recovered from the wreck of HMS Innocence and are on display at Portsmouth Historic Ship Yard. This example may also have naval connections.

Copper-alloy two-piece finger-ring. Narrow, circular-sectioned hoop, with bezel and shoulders soldered on. The bezel is square, with a central square recess plated with gold foil with a lightly pitted surface (dims. 7.5 x 7.5mm). The tapering triangular shoulders, terminate in a slightly pointed end. Traces of gilding on hoop, bezel and shoulders. Squashed.

Sheet copper-alloy book clasp. Large. Complete, but folded in two places. Rectangular, slightly flaring at one end and with a hook at the other. There is a rivet hole at the hooked end, followed by a large rectangular slot. At the centre is a circular hole with two concentric grooves around it. The flared end has engraved 'feathered' decoration and a scalloped lower edge, with two rivet holes above and a further row of three holes above.

Cast copper-alloy clothing fastener. Circular plate at centre with trapezoidal loop at one side and sub-oval extension opposite, with central circular perforation with engraved lines radiating from it. There are two further loops, one at the top and the other at the bottom, close to the trapezoidal loop. At the centre is a moulded ?cherub's head, with four conjoined curving bars which connect it to the outer circle, forming an openwork design. Surfaces slightly pitted.

Sub-oval bowl, rectangular-sectioned stem with moulded decoration on both sides. The stem expands slightly and terminates in an apostle knop, pperhaps representing St. John holding a book. There is a shallow rectangular cartouche on the reverse sideat the lower end of the stem, although it is not possible to decipher the lettering. Traces of white metal coating. Badly bent.
