Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A cast copper-alloy post-medieval mount of thick cruciform shape, the back having an attachment lug. The front is decorated with a central raised circular area, encircled by intertwined bands in shallow relief. Some elements of gilding, or other gold-coloured metal coating, still survive. The object could possibly be the central part of a larger, cruciform object. The style of decoration suggests a post-medieval date.

Two objects of lead found close together that superficially resemble thimbles but resist categorisation; they are solid and appear to be indented at the centres of their tops, the outer surfaces marked with dimples in the manner of a normal thimble. The regularity of the dimples indicates a post-medieval to modern date. Other thimbles of a similar age havE been found nearby ( LVPL-B9AA89 and LVPL-B9CF0C ). 1:- Height: 17.2mm, diameter 17mm, 33.30g 2:- Height: 16.2, diameter 17.2, 30.80g

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A cast copper alloy trefoil dress hook (class E, type 5) of early post medieval date, partially complete. The hook is similar to examples illustrated on p.110 of Read (2008), particularly nos. 436-437. The hook is curled up on itself, and the attachment loop is now broken at one end and bent back almost in line with the main stem of the hook itself. The decorative, three part faux-intertwined trefoil section is textured in relief with regular indentations to give the impression of a detailed thread.
