Record ID: LVPL-7652DE
Object type: BUTTON
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: East Riding of Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A loosely rectangular cast copper alloy button, very similar in design to LVPL-4B5D62 , LVPL-DA7AA3 , SWYOR-ED1E62 and NCL-D31631. Covered in a significant amount of verdigris and with former indented areas now empty. The underside of the button has the remains of an attachment loop, now broken and only residual. The upper side is marked out into raised rectilinear areas, a roughly square central enclosure being surrounded by four angular pieces. These would presumably have had enamel infil in the button's original state.
