Silver groat of Henry VIII of the third debased coinage with the first bust, initial mark is illegible but will be a lis, London mint. Dating 1544-47. Obverse has the crowned bearded bust of the king facing and the legend [hENRIC 8 D G AGL F]RA Z HIB REX. The reverse has a squared shield over a long cross fourchee dividing the legend [P]OSV[I/DEVM AD/IVTOR/E MEV]. Part of the edge of the coin has been bent.
