A Post-medieval Silver threepence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603), dating to AD 1569 or 1579. Second Coinage, uncertain initial mark, London mint. North (1991: 135) no.1998.
The coin has been deformed and is now slightly dished, with between 12 and 2 o'clock of the edge lost to a break at the inner circle.

An incomplete Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, consisting of disc 1 of a seal of uncertain form, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1800. Disc 1 depicts the intials W G in serifed Roman capitals, the partial disc 2 design which survives on the reverse of the integral rivet consists of a capital I flanked by pellets and surmounted by a pair of slatires.

Description: A silver-gilt dress-pin head. The head is spherical and probably hollow and contains the end of the pin shaft. It is decorated with silver wire filigree. Two horizontal filigree bands divide the head into two hemispheres. Each hemisphere is decorated with four sets of filigree circles, each containing three further circles around a central pellet. An incomplete clay tobacco pipe, probably dating to c. AD 1660-1740. The fragment consists of the stem and heel, with the bowl missing. The stem is sub-circular in cross section, c. 11.1mm in diameter at the break, with a narrow, off-centre circular perforation, 2.2mm in diameter. A trimmed, sub-oval bowl survives at the bowl-end of the stem, 14.0mm long by 11.3mm wide, stamped with an incuse maker's mark: [B]A/RVM.

A Post-Medieval ceramic sherd of North Devon sgraffito-decorated ware, dating to c. AD 1650-1800+. A base sherd from a plate or bowl with internal decoration, consisting of triple-stranded curvilinear bands incised into a white slip within a triple-tranded circumferencial border, subsequently glazed, appearing brown against a yellow field. A hard-fired orange-red to red-brown fabric, with a dark core, containing a sparce angular quartz temper <1.5mm, as well as more frequent black grit and sparce rounded grey stone inclusions, <1mm.

An incomplete Post-Medieval lead loth seal, probably dating to AD 1500-1800. Disc 1 of a 2-, 3- or 4-part seal, with an unclear design. An unclear inscription reads: [...]LE[...]. The impression of a plain-weave cloth can be seen on the reverse of the disc, as well as a partial and similarly unclear design on the integral rivet. The impression of the weave is too ill-defined to allow for a reliable estimate of threads per inch.

An incomplete Post-Medieval lead 2-part cloth seal, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1700. Only disc 1 survives, along with a section of the connecting strip. The disc depicts a serifed A with a chevroned bar within a beaded border. Although the second disc is lost, part of the heraldic symbol of Ausberg, a pinecone, survives on the ingregral rivet.

Description: An incomplete Post-Medieval probable hair or bodkin pin. The surviving fragment comprises of the shaft of the pin, missing its head. An incomplete Post-Medieval Rowell spur, probably dating to c. AD 1600-1800. The surviving fragment of the spur consists of an arm,. half of the other, the neck and part of the rowel box, with the terminals of the arms and rowel box, with the rowel itself missing. The arms are D-shaped in cross section, with a sub-oval boss reinforcing the junction between the arms and the rear, from which the neck expands. A Post-Medieval copper alloy trifid spoon handle terminal, probably dating to c. AD 1650-1720. The spoon handle is flat and plain, terminating in a worn break at the worn end and flaring outwards into a tri-lobed trifid terminal at the other.

A Medieval to Post-Medieval lead uniface token of Powell's type 19, probably dating to AD 1250-1850. The token depicts a long-tailed quadraped advancing right in relatively high relief, with the tail forming an inverted S-shape behind the body and with a pellet below.
Dimensions: Diameter 19.8mm; thickness 3.6mm; weight 4.51g.
Lead tokens were used widely for a variety of different reasons, although most will probably be post-Medieval, they are difficult to date with precision outside of an archaeological context.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1600. The mount consists of a sub-rectangular plate with a tri-lobed terminal at the attachment end and narrowed "waist" below. Below this the plate expands out into rounded shoulders, from where it tapers into a further "waist", preceding a pair of flanged lobes. An incomplete Medieval or Post-Medieval Lead uniface powell type 12 token, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1850. The token depicts a mill-stone design, with a central equal armed cross with an inwards pointing double chevron in each quarter. The edge of one quarter, <5% of the token, is lost to a shallow concave break.
Dimensions: diameter 24.0mm; thickness 2.7mm; weight 7.78g.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date.

A Post-Medieval Lead alnage cloth seal, probably dating to AD 1625-1649. A complete 2-part seal. Disc 1 is stamped with the intials CR ligated with three rosettes above and below within a circular outer border. Disc 2 is plain. An impression of the cloth is visible on both discs, this appears to be plain weave, 32-36 threads per inch.

The ligated initials CR most likely refer to Charles I, and although late for a 2-part alnage seal Egan (1992: 3) suggests that they continued in use until the mid-17th centur…

The object consists of an oval plate with a now incomplete rectangular attachement loop at one end.
