Silver gilt pin head, originally part of a dress pin, the pin shaft is missing. The head is spherical and decorated with silver filigree. A raised band separates the two hemispheres of the head, each containing a central pellet surrounded by four smaller pellets and four filigree circles. There is a pellet between each circle. Inside each circle is a central pellet and four smaller circles. Several pellets are now missing or damaged.

Cast copper-alloy hair pin head, Post-Medieval (c. 1500 -1650). The pin head and a small portion of the pin remain. The head is spherical in shape, and the surface is decorated with a raised filigree design. The design is split across two hemispheres, which are identical. The hemispheres are separated by a linear band of filigree. Silver gilt pin comprising head and shaft. The shaft is circular in section and tapers to a narrow point. It is misshapen. The head is spherical with a slight ridge around the centre separating the hemispheres. The head is decorated with repeating circular filigree patterning immediately above and below the central ridge, with a filigree circle at the top containing a small decorative knop. Description: A complete silver gilded hair pin of probable early post-medieval date (c. 16th century). The pin head is composed of a solid sphere with the upper and lower hemispheres defined by a band of decorative filigree. Each hemisphere features three large filigree circles, each of which contain three smaller filigree circles with a small spherical raised knop in the centre. There are also smaller filigree circles with these raised knops in the areas outside of and between the larger circle designs.
