Silver gilt pin head, originally part of a dress pin, the pin shaft is missing. The head is spherical and decorated with silver filigree. A raised band separates the two hemispheres of the head, each containing a central pellet surrounded by four smaller pellets and four filigree circles. There is a pellet between each circle. Cast copper-alloy hair pin head, Post-Medieval (c. 1500 -1650). The pin head and a small portion of the pin remain. The head is spherical in shape, and the surface is decorated with a raised filigree design. The design is split across two hemispheres, which are identical. Description: A complete silver gilded hair pin of probable early post-medieval date (c. 16th century). The pin head is composed of a solid sphere with the upper and lower hemispheres defined by a band of decorative filigree.
