Description: A complete bust somewhat distorted gold and enamel finger ring dating to the Post-Medieval period, a variant on the 'memento mori' types. The ring demonstrates a circular bezel engraved with the design of a facing grinning skull. Around the skull, four sub-rectangular recessed panels forming a ring around it display the following Latin inscription (interestingly, rendered by moulding rather than engraving): RES/PIC/E FI/NEM (RESPICE FINEM). A copper-alloy coin weight for the double excellente of Ferdinand and Isabella (1469-1504) probably dating c. 1580-1620. In plan the weight is rectangular, with neatly chamfered edges and file marks visible on both its lower face and sides. Only the upper surface of the coin weight remains legible, the other apparently plain and featureless. On the surviving face, the design of Ferdinand and Isabella's busts in profile are visible, facing each other and set within an outer circular border. A milled silver coin (probably a sixpence of William III) worn flat and stamped with a number of motifs, probably dating c. 1696-1900. These motifs include a single letter 'P' on a triangle on one face, while on the opposing face two sets of initials (EF and RJ) are visible, adjacent to a punch of a letter '8', an axe, and a second letter 'P' in a triangle as on the opposing face. A number of worn coins counterstamped in this way have been recorded on the PAS database. A complete cast lead-alloy token dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1650-1750. One face depicts a standing man, holding a musket over his shoulder. On the opposing face are the initials 'I S'. Preserved in good condition with a brownish grey patina, it measures 25.90mm in diameter, 2.49mm thick, and weighs 8.16g. Lead tokens enjoyed a long period of use from the Medieval period onwards, though the style of dress on this example suggests a later 17th to 18th century date.

A copper-alloy halfpenny trade token dating to the Post-Medieval period, dated 1668 and issued for Iames (James) Warwell of Groton, Suffolk. Dickinson 136, Norweb 4336. Obverse: inscription HIS HALF PENY in three lines within inner pelleted border, *IAMES*WARWELL*OF Reverse: crown over lis, *GROTTON DRAPER 1668 Farthing trade tokens were first issued in 1648 as a response to the lack of small change, with halfpenny tokens following in 1656. They were suppressed in 1674 by Royal Authority.
