A complete cast copper-alloy toy cannon and carriage mount dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1700-1800. The cannon (described as though it were a full sized example) demonstrates a bulbous, elongated cascabel, with a circular sectioned vent-field that demonstrates a large circular aperture on its upper surface. The astragals and reinforcing bands are not present on this example, though the midpoint demonstrates a pair of prominent trunnions which serve to attach the cannon itself to its carriage mount, the presumably wooden wheeled carriage itself now missing. An incomplete cast lead-alloy toy whistle dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1550-1800. It is broadly cylindrical, with a facetted outer face that gives the impression of a hexagonal section. The terminal end is solid with the exception of a small central circular aperture, with a single knop protruding from the lower and upper faces of the whistle respectively. It terminates abruptly around two-thirds of the way down its length in an irregular old break. An incomplete cast copper-alloy toy 'pistol grip' knife probably dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1700-1800. It demonstrates a asymmetrical handle that bulges out on one side, tapering to two moulded transverse collars which mark the junction between the handle and blade, Only the lower portion of the blade itself is present, with the mid-section and tip broken away in old damage. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it survives to a length of 41.14mm, while the handle measures 3.35mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 5.18g.
