A copper-alloy Post-Medieval farthing traders token issued by Frances Smith of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, dating to 1666. As Williamson no. 76. Obverse: date 1666 within inner pelleted border, *FRANCES.SMITH Reverse: IN/SVF/FOLK within an inner circle. IN ST EDMONDS BVRY Farthing trade tokens were first issued in 1648 as a response to the lack of small change, with halfpenny tokens following later. They were finally suppressed under Royal Authority in 1674.

A complete cast lead-alloy token struck under Elizabeth I, dating c. 1574-1600. One face of the token depicts a double-headed eagle within a pelleted outer border, while the opposing face demonstrates a crowned Tudor rose flanked by the initials E R. Preserved in fair condition with an even greyish patina, it measures 16.46mm in diameter, 1.57mm thick, and weighs 2.4g. This token is a variant of the usual type illustrated by North (see no. 2063) and recorded in some numbers on the PAS database (c.f IOW-3AAA72). An incomplete cast lead-alloy powder measure or 'apostle' dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1600-1700. It is broadly cup-shaped, with an open top and closed base, where there is a single projecting circular lug on each side that would have fastened the measure to the bandolier. Preserved in fair condition despite being squashed in post-depositional damage, with an off-white patina, it measures 20.88mm long and 28.99mm wide at its base. It weighs 23.51g. Description: One half of a silver gilt clothes fastener dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1600-1700. This is the 'looped' half of the full fitting. It is broadly triangular in plan, with a large loop at its apex and six smaller circular apertures evenly spaced around the main body of the object. The body itself demonstrates moulded decoration on its upper surface, the central element being broadly heart-shaped and flanked by two large foliate scrolls that terminate at the base of the object in small knops.
