Body sherd of 16th-17th century wheel made 'Bartmann' or 'Bellarmine' German stoneware jug. The pale grey fabric has c. 10% medium quartz sand temper, pale slip on the inner side and mottled brown salt glaze on the outer face. The outer face exhibits applied decoration, porbably originally an oval medallion with a foliate border; only a section of the border now remains.
