A post-medieval silver sixpence of William III (1694-1702). Uncertain bust dating to 1696-1697. Mint of Exeter. Spink (2009, 349-351). It measures 19.5 mm in diameter, and weighs 1.94 g. The coin is worn on each face and has been deliberately smoothed and bent into a very gentle S shape. These features suggest it was re-used as a love token.
