An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy sword belt hanger buckle dating from AD 1500-1630. The buckle frame is broken missing one corner as well as the pin. This is a double looped buckle, it is square in shape, with two long rectangular apertures. The frame is faceted on either side, the central bar is thinner with and id sub oval in cross section., below the central bar on the outside of the frame is a circular suspension loop. Similar example is illustrated in Whitehead p.76, no.472 and is dated to circa AD 1500 - 1630.

A Medieval copper alloy sewing ring, dating to the 15th century. The object is formed of a cast cylindrical tube of copper alloy which tapers from one open end to the other. There are circular drilled indentations in three bands around the body of the thimble. The metal has a mid-brown to bronze patina.
Casting occurred from the 14th century to AD 1530, when cast thimbles ceased in Nuremberg (Homes, 1988:1). Although casting began again in the 17th century, the thickness of this thimble would suggest that it was an earlier form. Similarly, the regular pattern of the indentat…

An incomplete Post Medieval bone needle or bodkin with a long oval eye dating from the 17th century. The bodkin terminates in a small acorn shaped finial under this is one long oval eye with two perforations below separated by a collar. The bodkin shaft tapers, but is now broken and missing its point.
