Three crowns alternating with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a rose formed of five bilobed petals. Reverse; GOTES SEGEN MACHT REICH – God’s blessing maketh rich (from Proverbs 10, 22). Two copper alloy Post Medieval contemporary Nuremberg jettons. Although there is now some edge separation the two jettons are held solidly together in exact concentric register, with the edges of the obverse face feathered around the circumference in an effort to present a single edge . There are significant remnants of a whitemetal coating on the reverse which coupled with the aforementioned features may suggest that this jetton was made to deceive and perhaps be passed off as coin.
