Worn silver Post Medieval Commonwealth halfgroat. No legend or initial marks. Obverse; shield of St George within wreath formed of a palm and laurel branch. Reverse; conjoined shields of St George and Ireland with 'II' denomination mark above. The coin has been pierced with a small circular hole from the obverse through to the reverse. The hole is located at the top centre cusp of the obverse shield and has a crack running from it to the 1'clock position on the outside edge. North 2728. Circa AD1649-1660.
