An incomplete and worn plated silver over copper-core post-Medieval groat of Edward VI (1547-1553) in the name of Henry VIII. Likely minted at Canterbury between c.1547-c.1551, North (1991) no.1875. Coin is heavily abraded and worn and in places the silver plating has come away to show the poor quality copper-alloy core. Measurements: 25.33mm in diameter, 0.62mm thick and 1.46g in weight.

A plated silver post-Medieval groat of Edward VI (1547-1553) in the name of Henry VIII. Irish issue from the Dublin mint, Spink (2003) No. 6488 with half right bust of the late 'Tower' issues of Henry VIII, dating 1547-c.1550. Coin is bent and mishaped, in places the silver plating has come away to show the poor quality copper-alloy core. Measurements: 25.23mm in diameter, 0.68mm thick (not including warping) and 2.08g in weight.

A fragmentary and worn silver shilling of Edward VI (r.1547-1553), from the second period coinaged (1549-1550), minted at Southwark in 1549 with a Y mintmark. North 1917/2 Obv: Crowned bust right. Leg.: '[+E]DWARDVS : D : G : ANGL' FRA[NCIE Z HIBERNIE REX]'. Rev.: Oval shield crowned and garnished, with E R at sides. Leg.: '+TIMOR [DOMINI FONS VI]TE. MDXLIX'. The coin is fragmentary and missing some sections from 6-11 o'clock and the bust is particularly worn. Measurements: 30.8mm in diameter, 1.15mm thick and 3.11g in weight.
