Description: A broken and bent silver gilt finger ring dating to the Post- Medieval period.
The ring would have originally been circular in shape but has been broken at one point along the ring and squashed such that it now has an irregular sub-oval shape in the form of a "U".
The hoop is D-shaped in cross section, with a slightly convex outer side and a flat inner side. On the inner surface there is the inscription "In god is my trust" all in italics and all lower case baring the first letter "I" which is capitalised.

Treasure case 2019 T227: Disclaimed, returned to finder
Description: A group of two silver coins, found together.
Both coins are official issues of shillings coined at the London mint. The first is of James II dating to 1685. The second is of William III and was issued in 1696. This latter coin has a minor bend to the left of the bust.
Discussion: The two coins were discovered next to and touching each other in the ground by a metal detectorist. Both coins are of the same denomination and show a similar degree of wear on their faces. This abrasion is limited enough to …

An uniface, Medieval or post-medieval lead-alloy token, probably dating to c AD 1200-1800 (Powell type 12). The token is broadly circular but has chipped and bend edges. The decorated side has a central pellet and a quartered design with opposing quarters filled with vertical and horizontal lines so they alternate around the pellet. The reverse is fairly smooth and was probably plain. The patina is white to buff. The token is 13.4mm in diameter, 1.1mm thick and weighs 1.07g
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc…

Part of a complete copper alloy knife handle and the iron knife tang of post-medieval date, circa AD 1756 - 1763.The handle is comprised of two sub-rectangular strips of metal each broken at one end, one currently longer than the other. The missing end would have been the terminal of the handle, the remaining end would have been where the handle met the blade. At this end the plates are riveted together with a circular copper alloy rivet. Part of the iron knife blade and flat tang is retained by the rivet. This is presumably the remains of the knife blade.
