Medieval or Post medieval copper-alloy sheet scabbard chape dating from AD 1300-1800. It is trapezoid in plan and oval in cross section with flattened front and back. The sheet has been rolled into a tube with a single overlapping seam down the back. base is broken but it appears to be tapering to a rounded point. A copper-alloy, post-medieval, quartefoil mount with two integral rivet spikes on the back. The mount is an openwork cross fleuretty in shape with a centeral lozenge. The cross arms are linked at the centre by a lozenge and the outer petals of the fleurs at each cross end also join, leaving oval openwork between, one mis-cast.
