Cylindrical colourless glass vessel, probably an small jar or phial, possibly late Post Medieval. A slightly corroded and bent rectangular double-looped buckle of Post-Medieval date. The longer sides are slightly incurved, the loops tending towards the trapezoidal from the rectangular with wider outer sides. The frame is bevelled externally and internally on the front. The back is flat. The pin bar is trapezoidal in cross-section. A copper alloy pin is looped loosely around it, bevelled to each side and flat on the back. The frame can be seen to have been bent downwards in the centre and up at the ends. This bending may be post-depositional or a function of its use. The buckle is …

Handmade bone toy whistle and teething toy of 17th or 18th century date. The whistle is sub-cylindrical, piriform in cross section with a semi-circular front and a back which comes to a distinct point with a ridge running down the length. This ridge thickens towards the cnetre and thins towards both ends, although one (the foot) is narrower than the other (the head). Circular holes are visible in both ends of the whistle and although filled with mud it is assumed it is hollow through out. It is probable there was a separate mouthpiece at the head with fipple block etc, now missing, th…
