Unusually wide post medieval cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle frame with one D-shaped and one trapezoid loop. The D-shaped loop curves out at the centre of the outer edge to create a projecting point in the shape of an ogee arch. The loops are trapezoid in section with bevelled sides and a flat back although the outer edge of the trapezoid loop is worn to an oval shape. The sises of the D-shaped loop are slightly wider. Post medieval cast copper alloy stud chape from a shoe buckle. The chape has two cylindrical tubes at one end with the remains of a tube from the pin between them, around these is the rusted remains of the seperate iron spindle which would have gone through the tubes and into the buckle frame at either side. The body of the chape is flat and narrows immediately after the tubes before curving slightly out and then inwards to a narrower rectangular projection at the end opposite the tubes. Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle frame. The frame has two oval loops which have bevelled backs and bevelled and slightly widened outer edges, one with a transverse groove for a pin rest in the centre. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed with lobed knops at either end. The buckle has a reddish brown surface with areas of green patina. It is 22.6mm long, 17.7mm wide, 2.1mm thick and weighs 2.33 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar buckle (page 54, No.307) which lacks the grooves on the loops, which he dates to c.1500-1650 AD.

Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame. Only one oval loop now remains, the other is lost to old breaks. The strap bar is narrowed with scallop-shell shaped knops at either end, the shape emphasised by indented rayed lines. From the centre of the outer edge of the complete loop projects a large lozenge shaped knop. The flat top of the knop is stepped up in two steps from the surface of the loop. Post Medieval cast copper-alloy asymmetrical buckle frame. The frame has one rectangular and one D shaped loop. Both look to have a groove along the outer edge. At the centre of the D shaped look the inner side projects inwards in a point forming a wider area. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. There are traces of a white metal, silver or tin, coating on the front. It is 38.1mm long, 28.3mm wide and 2.5mm thick and weighs 6.90grams. Whitehead (2003:91) illustrates a similar example, no.566, which he dates to c.1575-1700 AD.

Fragment, probably the outer side of a buckle loop. Probably from a Post Medieval double loop buckle. The fragment is pelta shaped with a curved outer side and the inner side expanded into a rounded point in the centre. There are worn breaks at either end. The back is flat and the front is slightly convex with nine transverse lines incised across it, the outer ones angled outwards. It is 17.8mm long, 8.7mm wide, 2.2mm thick and weighs 1.18 grams.

Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle frame with one loop completely missing due to old breaks. The remaining loops is oval with a bevelled outer and inner edge giving an angles side. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed with large pointed knops at either end. There are stubs and evidence of the old break where the other loop has been lost. It is 19.6mm long by 22.3mm wide by 3.7mm thick; it weighs 2.86 grams. A similar frame is illustrated in Whitehead (2003: 54), no.308 which he dates to c.1500-1650 AD.

In the centre of the outer edge of each loop is a bi-lobed heart shaped moulding, the point of which projects on the inner side of the loop and the lobes on the outer. The strap bar is narrowed with large rounded knops at either end. The pin is missing. It is 40.3mm long by 26.5mm wide by 2.0mm thick; it weighs 6.96 grams. Whitehead (2003: 71) illustrates similar frames which he dates to c.1600-1720 AD although none with this particular shape of moulded decoration
