One half of a Post Medieval two part toggle clasp, possibly from a sword belt of 16th to 17th century date. This part is the eye section which would have had a bar on the second section slotted through it then swivelled. The openwork eye is rectangular and forms one end of the piece. It has a thickened transverse bar at one end, dividing it from the rest. There is an offest bar, raised above the line of the rest of the piece in a convex curve, at the other, outer end of the eye. To one side of the eye is an integral circular loop through which a part of the sword belt would be hooked.…

Post medieval gold post ring dating to 1725 to 1800. Th ring is D-shaped in cross section with a flat inner face and convex outer. On the inner face is inscribed: I joy to find a constant mind. The inscripltion is in italics and is followed by a makers mark. The mark is a five sided recessed shape with a horizontal top, straight sides and pointed base within which are the raised initials S over G H, the S flanked by pellets and with a third pellet below. Treasure case 2019 T227: Disclaimed, returned to finder Description: A group of two silver coins, found together. Both coins are official issues of shillings coined at the London mint. The first is of James II dating to 1685. The second is of William III and was issued in 1696. This latter coin has a minor bend to the left of the bust. Discussion: The two coins were discovered next to and touching each other in the ground by a metal detectorist. Treasure case 2018 T765: Disclaimed and returned to finder. Description: Section of a silver gilt 'fede' finger ring. The section comprises the solid clasped hands flanked by rectangular cuffs. There are old breaks beyond the cuffs and any further design or inscription is lost. The fingers are picked out by incised lines and it is possible the cuffs also had simple vertical lines across them but the piece is highly worn obscuring these details. A post-medieval copper-alloy farthing of Charles I (1625-1649). Rose Type 2 (North 2291). Initial mark: crescent, dating to 1636-1644. Mint of London. North (1975, 140). It measures 12.9 mm in diameter, 0.8 mm thick, and weighs 0.57 g. The coin contains a copper-alloy (brass) wedge which was added to negate counterfeiting. This is located at approximately 12 o'clock on both faces. The circumference is slightly abraded.
