Post Medieval copper alloy double loop buckle with part of the pin still in situ. The buckle has two oval loops each with large knops in the centre of the outer edge. The oval knops project into and beyond the line of the loops and have an unclear raised design, possibly a flower, on them. The rest of both loops is decorated with a worn design, possibly a recessed strip with regularly spaced raised pellets within it. There are worn pointed knops at each end of the narrowed strap bar. Copper-alloy single-looped 'D' shaped Post-Medieval buckle frame, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. It has concave curved top and bottom sides. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The outer side is convex curved with a single lobed knop projecting from the centre, the knop is emphasised by diagonal grooves running across the frame, flanking the inner edges. The reverse is concave, apart from the strap bar. Length: 26.1mm, Width: 22.8mm, Thickness: 2.9mm, Weight: 2.33g. A very similar example may be seen in Whitehead (2003, 28; ref.145) which he dates to c.AD 1500-1650.

2018T442 returned to finder after being declared treasure Description: A Post-Medieval silver double loop shoe or knee buckle with plate and pin, dating to AD 1660 to 1720. The frame of the buckle is rectangular and measures 18.9 mm in length. The upper and lower edges of the frame are wider and thicker in the centre with a convex curved inner edge and triangular profile. Post medieval silver openwork buckle frame, probably a shoe buckle, dating to AD 1769 to 1793. The buckle frame is oval and distinctly arched with the short edges (top and bottom edges) convex curved. The buckle was in two pieces when found, about a quarter had become detached, and has been repaired with the solder visible on the back. An incomplete copper alloy late Medieval to Post Medieval buckle frame dating to the period cAD1450 - 1600. Only one loop of the double loop oval buckle remains. It has a serrated outer edge, and a sheet copper alloy pin wrapped around the bar. Only small sections of the other loop survive, with worn breaks. The buckle measures 12.3mm in length, 14.8mm in width and is 1.0mm thick; it weighs 0.83g including the pin. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003:60), no. 356 which he dates to AD 1450-1600.

Post Medieval copper alloy oval buckle with surviving chape but missing the pin. The frame is drilled and the strap bar is separate and made of iron, although rusted it survives in situ on this example. The buckle frame has decoration in the form of six groups of ransverse incised lines alernating with plain areas and evenly spaced around the oval. The groups comprise 5 or 4 indented lines which alternate around the oval. Post Medieval cast copper alloy asymmetrical double loop buckle. The buckle is broken with the central pin bar missing. Originally it had one rectangular loop with the worn and rounded strap bar to one side. The other, outer, loop is roughly D-shaped with the centre of the outer edge extended forward into a point giving an ogee curve to each side. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped buckle frame, missing most of one of its loops as well as its pin. The remaining loop is oval. The central bar extends beyond the meeting point of the loops ending in rounded lobes. The reverse surface is flat, and the upper surface is convex. At the centre of the remaining loop is an oval expansion with the front moulded into a crude flower, now worn. The broken off loop is a short stub at each end of the central bar. The breaks are old.
