Treasure case 2019 T238: Declared not Treasure Description: A broken and bent silver gilt finger ring dating to the Post- Medieval period. The ring would have originally been circular in shape but has been broken at one point along the ring and squashed such that it now has an irregular sub-oval shape in the form of a "U". The hoop is D-shaped in cross section, with a slightly convex outer side and a flat inner side. Post Medieval cast copper alloy hooked tag with a roughly circular plate, trapezoid loop and backward facing hook. The central plate is shaped like a flower with leaves and has a flat back and moulded convex front. The plate is circular with an outer ring formed of seven oval rings arranged in a circle with pointed knops between, the outer edge is shaped to the rings and knops. Incompete cast lead object in the form of a leaf, probably a mount for furniture or plasterwork. The piece is pointed oval in shape with one point lost to an old break across one end. The back is flat and the front is decorated with raised leaves projecting out from a central stem. The piece is 29.6mm long, 17.3mm wide and 3.4mm thick at the complete point, 2.1mm thick at the break; it weighs 6.09 g. Post Medieval cast copper alloy oval buckle frame with a central strap bar creating two D-shaped loops. The frame is triangular in section with flat back and inner side and angled outer side. The strap bar is narrowed. It is 25.6mm long, 20.8mm wide and 2.1mm thick, it weighs 2.54 grams. The buckle is similar to one illustrated in Whitehead (2003:48) no.278, who suggests it is a show buckle of c.1650-1720 AD.

Incomplete Post Medieval cast copper-alloy mount of probable 16th or 17th century date. The mount takes the form of a flat plate with bevelled sides. One end is complete and is divided into three branches, the outer branches curve in and this curve continues to a narrow point below the terminal. Beyond this narrow point the sides curve out again as the plate widens out to points on both sides before begining to narrow again to the old break. The long plate has an oval centre flanked by widened double collars beyond which are circular terminals. The double collars are seperated from each other by a deep groove but the front is otherwise flat.
