A Post Medieval copper alloy thimble with maker's mark dating 1520-1620. The thimble has sloping sides and a slightly domed top with a raised centre. The indentations are oval and have been hand stamped in a continuous spiral from the top to the rim with no bare tonsure. At the end of the indentations there is a stamped maker's mark It is not blear but is probably an angular S in a recessed panel. Below the indentations there is a single linear border just above the rim. It is 16.2mm in diameter at the base. 17.5mm tall, the walls are 0.9mm thick and it weighs 4.28 grams. H…
