Treasure case 2019 T238: Declared not Treasure Description: A broken and bent silver gilt finger ring dating to the Post- Medieval period. The ring would have originally been circular in shape but has been broken at one point along the ring and squashed such that it now has an irregular sub-oval shape in the form of a "U". The hoop is D-shaped in cross section, with a slightly convex outer side and a flat inner side. On the inner surface there is the inscription "In god is my trust" all in italics and all lower case baring the first letter "I" which is capitalised. …

Treasure case 2019 T227: Disclaimed, returned to finder Description: A group of two silver coins, found together. Both coins are official issues of shillings coined at the London mint. The first is of James II dating to 1685. The second is of William III and was issued in 1696. This latter coin has a minor bend to the left of the bust. Discussion: The two coins were discovered next to and touching each other in the ground by a metal detectorist. Description: A sheet silver thimble made in two pieces, dating from the c. late 17th-early 18th century AD. The thimble has a high domed top and originally slightly sloping sides, now squashed in places. The top was made separately from the body and they were soldered together, this solder has now cracked, and they were detached when found. There is also a partially cracked seam running down the body which again has been mended by the finder, who was unaware of the thimbles age. Treasure case 2018 T765: Disclaimed and returned to finder. Description: Section of a silver gilt 'fede' finger ring. The section comprises the solid clasped hands flanked by rectangular cuffs. There are old breaks beyond the cuffs and any further design or inscription is lost. The fingers are picked out by incised lines and it is possible the cuffs also had simple vertical lines across them but the piece is highly worn obscuring these details. 2018T442 returned to finder after being declared treasure Description: A Post-Medieval silver double loop shoe or knee buckle with plate and pin, dating to AD 1660 to 1720. The frame of the buckle is rectangular and measures 18.9 mm in length. The upper and lower edges of the frame are wider and thicker in the centre with a convex curved inner edge and triangular profile. The bowl is fig shaped with a probable town mark or makers or workshop mark on the front near the stem. The mark appears to be multiple pellets, within a pellet line circle.
