Description: A complete Post-Medieval silver hawking vervel. The vervel is flat in cross section and circular in plan, with a large, central circular aperture. Both faces of the vervel are inscribed in seriffed capitals: *IOHN* // *STRANGWAYES. A small line of black material, perpendicular to the circumference and extending between the external and internal edges possibly a tarnished, less pure silver, appears to be a repair.
The vervel has an external diameter of 12.0mm, the central aperture is 5.4mm in diameter and it is 1.3mm thick; it weighs 0.87g.

Description: An incomplete silver dress hook dating to c. AD 1450-1600. The hook consists of one-piece cast in the form of a shell with two attachment-knops. The third loop and the hook are now missing.
The front of the dress hook is convex and moulded with linear lines to provide detail of the scallop shell. It has two attachment-knops at the base of the shell, one each side. Description: Part of a silver book clasp, broken at both ends and decorated with an incised flower. The piece is formed of a flat plate of silver, now with a double bend at one end before the break. At the unbent end is a rectangular section and then the remainder is sub-oval with squared ends where it meets the rectangular section and where it is broken. There rectangular section is thicker than the rest. The back is plain.

A post-medieval silver-gilt dress pin dating to 16th century. The pin consists of the head and a short part of the shaft.
The head is spherical and probably hollow and contains the end of the pin shaft. It is formed of two hemispheres soldered together. The join is covered by a double band of wire filigree. It is decorated with twisted silver-gilt wire filigree. Each hemisphere has four large filigree circles and within each circle are further four circles surrounding a pellet. Description: A Post-medieval silver gilt finger ring with a posy inscription on the inside. The hoop has been cut and flattened open. The outer side is plain and most of the gilding has worn away. The inscription on the inside, in Roman capitals, reads: BE + TRV + IN + HART. There is a cross potent at the beginning of the inscription and at the end is a symbol of a triangle adjacent to a lozenge conjoined with a central line. There is no maker’s mark.
Dimensions: The finger ring is now 62.06mm in length, 6.39mm in width, 1.31mm in thickness and weighs 3.00g.
