Thumb piece or handle from an unidentifed cast silver item of probably 18th century date. The thumb piece is complete with a oval panel connected to a curved rectangular sectioned arm which is in turn connected to a broken hollow attachment which would have linked it to the rest of the item. The oval panel has a moulded, raised bust on each side, it is helmeted and draped, possibly Minerva. The bust is within a line border with stippling in the field between the line and bust. From the base of the oval section projects a small oval shaped flat knop moulded into a face on both sides, o…

A silver object, possibly part of larger object. Flat on both sides. In plan one end of the object begins with a semi-circular shape, and is then cinched towards the centre. Above this follows an oval shape after which the object is cinched again. This is followed by a flat oval collar. Above this is a baluster shape, with a joining collar from which a sub-rectangular shape begins. When viewed from the side, the entire object is sub-rectangular and appears designed so that a spindle or rod can be inserted through the semi-circular end and the edges of the object wrapping around the sp…

Treasure case 2012 T211: Disclaimed, returned to finder
Description: Post Medieval hollow terminal from an unidentified object. The terminal has been squashed flat but appears to have originally had a flat back and convex front.
It has a trilobed end with the large vertical lobes divided by lines of raised pellets. These lobes appear to have ended with an abruptly stepped in base below which was a recessed and narrowed but still convex section. This section is divided in two by a horizontal indented line with a row of raised pellets along its centre. Above the line is a pair of op…

Post medieval silver attachment from unclear item, probably small vessel. The attachment is complete but at one end is solvered to a second curved silver object, probably a vessel wall, too little survives of this second part to identify it. The complete piece is flat with an ornate outline and openwork.
The central portion is broadly oval extened at one end into a round ended terminal and at the other into a squared off end. The rounded terminal has three knops, one to each side and one at the end and a central circular piercing. The central section has an open centre containing a…
