Treasure case 2013 T71: Disclaimed and returned to finder
Silver (possibly silver-gilt) finger ring inscribed + IN DOMINO CONFIDO (In God I Trust) on the outer side and with a makers mark on the inner side.
The ring is a flat band, rectangular in section. On the outer side there are raised borders top and bottom flanking a recessed central band. Description: A Post-medieval silver gilt finger ring with a posy inscription on the inside. The hoop has a crack completely through it at one point but is still in shape. The outer side is plain and shallowly convex. The inner side is flat giving a shallow D-shaped cross section. The inscription on the inside, in Roman capitals, reads: I LIVE IN HoP. There is no maker’s mark. The gilding is mostly in place although thinned giving the ring a pale gold colour. There are a few worn areas on the inner side where the silver shows through.

Description: A post medieval silver gilt finger ring. The band is oval with a D-shaped cross section. The outer surface exhibits a moulded design of a series of projecting bosses or pellets. The pellets are surrounded by a border of two interweaving ridged bands which pass alternately over and under each pellet, crossing in the gap between each pellet.
