Silver spherical bell. The bell is formed of upper and lower hemispheres soldered or brazed together in a raised join around the centre. The upper hemisphere is plain with a silver loop soldered to the centre. This loop is formed of a D-shaped loop of silver with flat inner side; the ends of the loop are brought in to meet each other before being attached to the bell. The lower hemisphere has a thin sound slot ending in small circular holes running right across it There are several pieces of dirt and possibly a copper alloy pea inside the bell. there is no evidence of a makers mark.
