A post medieval cast silver double loop shoe or knee buckle with chape but missing the pin dating to the period c. AD 1660 - 1720. The frame of the buckle is rectangular. The upper and lower edges are widened and thickened in the centre with a convex curved inner edge and triangular profile. The outer sides of the loops are also thickened in the centre with a convex curved inner edge. Treasure Case 2015 T218: Disclaimed, returned to finder A complete post medieval silver-gilt eye piece from a hook and eye fastener. The body of the piece is broadly heart shaped with one sewing loop each side of the point, and a larger loop in the centre at the top where the hook from the other part of the fastener would have been inserted. One sewing loop is complete, the other missing to a break. The centre of the piece is openwork with the outer edges of the heart made of probably foliate branches. Post Medieval silver button, originally spherical or globular but now torn and squashed. The button has a seam around the centre where the two hemispheres were joined. It has partially torn along this seam with a section missing from the outer hemisphere. There is no evidence of decoration or a central pimple ont eh outer hemisphere although due to the battered condition this is not certain. There is a circuklar hole in the cnetre of the lower hemisphere where the seprarate loop would ahve been atatched. there is a possible makers mark to one side of this hole but this is now illegile…

Modified Post Medieval silver half groat of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) dating to the years AD 1591 to 1594. Initial mark tun. Minted at London. North (1991:137) no.2016. The coin has been bent at right angles at two places, one near each edge, givng it as S-shape in profile. This modification is often descibed as a 'love token' although they had wider uses as charms including for good luck.
