Treasure case: 2016 T861: Disclaimed, returned to finder. Description: Fragment of a silver gilt finger ring. The fragment consists of 6 lobes, domes or pearls of a lobed finger ring with breaks at each end. The upper and lower edges of the ring are shaped to the lobes. The division between each lobe is an irregular relatively shallow V shaped channel. The inner surface of the hoop is plain and flat. Description: A post medieval silver gilt finger ring. The band is ovular with a D-shaped cross section. The outer surface exhibits a moulded design of a series of projecting pellets. The pellets are surrounded by a border of two interweaving ridged bands which pass alternately over and under each pellet, crossing in the gap between each pellet. The interweaving bands are incised with a continuous zigzag pattern. Date: 1550 to 1650 AD Description: A post-medieval silver-gilt finger ring (posy ring) inscribed with MY HART YOV HAVE on the inner side in Roman capitals. The band of the ring gradually widens at the shoulders of the bezel which is rectangular.
