Treasure case 2017 T661: Disclaimed, returned to finder Circumstances of discovery: All found within c. 4m of each other while metal-detecting on pasture land, with no nearby finds of comparable date with the exception of treasure case 2017 T662. Description: A small collection of coins of the reign of Elizabeth I (see catalogue below), representing a range of dates, with the coins minted between c. AD 1560 and 1587. Treasure case 2016 T725: Disclaimed, returned to finders Circumstances of discovery: Metal detecting on cultivated ground during a group outing. A group of nine silver coins. All are official issues of monarchs of England, Scotland and Ireland dating from 1575 to 1643. Six are English issues, two Scotland and one Irish Discovery: The coins were found while metal detecting on cultivated ground as part of an organised group event. They were found by several different finders and were scattered over a small area. None were in context and no evidence of a container survived.…

Treasure case: 2012 T242: Acquired by Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter Findspot: Chardstock, Devon Date: 1607-1625 AD Description: Thirteen silver coins found in close proximity while metal detecting on grassland during a metal detecting rally. Once the first few coins had been found and it was clear there was a hoard the area was roped off and searched carefully using several different detectors. Description: A small hoard consisting of two coins: a groat and a three pence of Charles I, both civil war issues, found two metres apart at St Cuthbert Out, Somerset. 1.
