French Post Medieval silver douzain, probably of Henry IV of France (1589-1610). Date on coin and mint unclear.. Counter-stamped on the reverse with a fleur-de-lis in an oval of pellets. This mark revalued the coin at 15 deniers under Louis XIII following an ordinance of June 1640. The coin has an old break across the cnetre with c.50% remaining.

Post Medieval silver shilling of Elizabeth I dating to AD 1587 to 1590. Escallop initial mark on the obverse, crescent stamped over escallop on the reverse. North (1991: 136) no.2014. It is interesting to see the initial mark overstamped on the die, this is not uncommon for dates on those denominations that have them, but it seems rarer with initial marks.

An incomplete silver post medieval whistle dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1650. The tubular whistle is made of silver sheet and soldered lengthways along an abutting seam. Two collars composed of spiralled silver wire divide the whistle into three sections. Threaded through each spiral is a silver wire core. The first section comprises an obliquely angled mouthpiece with a D-shaped aperture. The obverse face exhibits a D-shaped sound-hole. The outer surface exhibits a moulded design of a series of projecting bosses or pellets. A post medieval cast silver double loop shoe or knee buckle with chape but missing the pin dating to the period c. AD 1660 - 1720. The frame of the buckle is rectangular. The upper and lower edges are widened and thickened in the centre with a convex curved inner edge and triangular profile. Treasure Case 2015 T218: Disclaimed, returned to finder A complete post medieval silver-gilt eye piece from a hook and eye fastener. The body of the piece is broadly heart shaped with one sewing loop each side of the point, and a larger loop in the centre at the top where the hook from the other part of the fastener would have been inserted. One sewing loop is complete, the other missing to a break. The centre of the piece is openwork with the outer edges of the heart made of probably foliate branches.
