An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1575 - 1700. The buckle is a double looped asymmetrical shape with moulded decoration on the loops. It has a D-shaped section with a flat reverse and bevelled edges. The outer edge of the rectangular loop bears six lobed knops and two further knops are present at symmetrical points on the outer curved edge. Lobed protrusions also project from either end of the strap bar. Patches of silvering or tinning are present on the frame. The pin no longer remains. The fitting comprises a one-piece, D-sectioned plate with moulded relief decoration in the form of bulbous transverse ridges. A complete lead alloy shot of the "capstan" or "bobbin" type of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600-1800. The shot is spool-shaped with a narrowed waist that flares at either end and has a circular-section throughout. All surfaces are undecorated and are abraded. The object has a mid-brown patina. The shot is 21.2mm long 15.2mm to 10.5mm in diameter and weighs 28.6g. Similar objects have been recorded on the PAS database including SF-A1A9A0, DENO-FD0ABA and LANCUM-FF78A6. This type of shot are mainly found in East England or south and east midlands.
