An incomplete white metal or lead-alloy probable furniture fitting of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800).  Less than 25% of the artefact is present. It consists of a hollow tube, with a break at the bottom, extending upwards into a terminal of two (originally three) plumed feathers, with a collar or ribbon at the base.  It measures 45.0 mm in length, 16.0 mm wide and 6.8 mm thick. A zoomorphic or animal head terminal is present at both ends, with a rounded nose, and circular eye. At the centre of the S is a 'waisted' area comprising a central flower design, with leaves pointing away on both sides. One side bears a moulded radial pattern, with each ray bordered like a petal. The larger petal forms part of an attachment/suspension fitting, with a longitudinal ridge on the reverse. A complete copper alloy trapezoidal buckle and spindle, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1660 to AD 1720). The buckle frame is trapezoidal in plan, with a drilled frame, for a separate spindle. The frame exhibits moulded decoration. Scrolled knops are present on either side of the spindle holes and a moulded pin rest is present on both of the outer loops. The separate drilled spindle, chape and pin are missing. Both faces are undecorated. The buckle curves upwards in the centre. It measures 32.6 mm in length, 28.8 mm wide and 3.7 mm thick. This has an internal diameter of 11.0 mm. A triangular shaped vertical handle is present at the opposite side to the rectangular hinge. Two attachment lugs are still present, with an iron axis bar between them. The inside is concave with a lip at the base. It is 21.5 mm wide, 30.9 mm thick and 10.1 mm tall. It weighs 7.47 g.
