An incomplete cast copper alloy badge with a floral motif, of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The badge is irregular in plan and cross section. The badge is openwork in design, with a central flower design. Two petals of which are present. Each petal has two layers - a top petal and a bottom petal and are convex (domed) in nature. The tips of the petal touch the outer circular rim. From the curvature of the outer rim, it would originally have an a diameter of 5 cm, with 25% of the rim surviving. An incomplete cast copper alloy, possible end cap from a scale tang knife, probably of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (13th to 18th Centuries AD). The end cap is circular in plan, and semi circular in cross section. It consists of a half spherical ball with a longitudinal groove down the back of the artefact. The finial consists of robed figure, with bare head and chin length chin, holding a book in his right hand and either a saw or a one sided palm frond in his left.
