An incomplete cast copper alloy dress hook, of Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD). The dress hook consists of a diamond shaped plate, with integrally cast hook. The decoration on the front of the plate consists of a centrally located square, set end to end (diamond / lozenge shape), with a lattice work, set to look like foliate decoration around the out side. Its upper surface is decorated with a cast floral motif. The underside is plain. The attachment loop is missing and only a small portion of the semi-circular section hook remains. The central plate has a diameter of 14.54mm and a thickness of 1.92mm.
