An incomplete cast copper alloy dress hook, of Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD). The dress hook consists of a diamond shaped plate, with integrally cast hook. The decoration on the front of the plate consists of a centrally located square, set end to end (diamond / lozenge shape), with a lattice work, set to look like foliate decoration around the out side. An incomplete hooked tag dating to the seventeenth century AD. The fragment comprises the central circular plate. This plate is hollow and hemispherical in section. Its upper surface is decorated with a cast floral motif. The underside is plain. The attachment loop is missing and only a small portion of the semi-circular section hook remains. The central plate has a diameter of 14.54mm and a thickness of 1.92mm.
