A complete silver, probable dress hook, of probable Post medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700). The probable dress hook has a basic domed triangular shape, with half spheres located at each point. A second much smaller domed triangle is positioned centrally on the base or flat side of the first, and then the base extends into a rectangular eye. This eye measures 4.6 mm wide, internally it measures 2.8 mm wide by 1.4 mm long. The half spheres have a diameter of 3.7 mm. The reverse of the dress hook is hollow and concave. The wire hook and loop are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The plate comprises a trefoil of hollow domed bosses. Each boss has six stamped pellets.
