An enamelled gold barrel-shaped link of late 18th to early 19th Century dating. This gold link bears traces of blue, green and white enamel forming a pattern of white dots in the centre flanked by a blue band and a wreath in green. On examination at the British Museum, no evidence was found to date this link pre-1704. It is a characteristic type of the late 18th or early 19th century. ~~A gold composite jewellery fitting. The back plate is formed by an oval sheet with a twisted rope like border. Three circular sectioned wire loops are present on either side. These have been soldered to a collar made from a strip of gold, set at right angles, running around the inside of the rope border. This collar would have secured the original gem in place. A complete but misshapen gold finger ring, with domed oval red glass / paste inset intaglio. The intaglio was possibly engraved but due to damage caused by movement in the plough soil, any engraving is hard to determine. The finger ring has been decorated by a series of double circles, with annulets in the centre, joined together by a raised bar. A complete hand made twisted gold wire, probable finger ring, of uncertain dating. The probable finger ring has been made from two lengths of gold wire twisted together. The ends have been solded together. Due to post depositional pressure, the finger ring is no longer circular, but more ovoid (egg) shaped. The finger ring measures 27.72 mm in length, 9.08 mm wide and 1.27 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g. The finger ring is a mid yellow colour, with a shiny surface. A complete gold possible finger ring, of probable Post Medieval to Modern dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900). The possible finger ring is rectangular in section and would have originally been circular in plan. It is now sub oval in plan. The hoop has been decorated with eight circular pits (now full of soil), that may have originally held something. Each pit has a diameter of 1.5 mm. Multiple vertical filemarks are present on the interior surface of the ring. The original diameter of the ring can not be determined due to it being misshapen. Due to being mishappen, the original diameter is hard to determine, but probably was around 19 mm. Internal diameter is around 17 mm. The hoop is 2.99 mm wide and 1.01 mm thick. It weighs 1.7 g. The finger ring is a dark yellow colour, with an even shiny surface patina.
