The mount is roughly arrow shaped with a central tang, and curved wings with barbs to either side. Each barb terminates with a rounded pellet. An incomplete copper alloy domed sexfoil mount of the Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval period, dating to AD 1400 - AD 1600. The mount consists of a domed head with six diagonal incised lines, creating a petal like design, each petal has a semi circular lobed projection forming the edge of the petal. The reverse of each petal is slightly concave, and has a small circular area cast slightly off centre, presumably the remains of the attachment spike.  The object measures 36.3 mm in length and is 37.1 mm wide. No decoration, other than iregular scratches is present on the front. On the bar, situated at either end, are two integral circular sectioned incomplete rivets. The rivets have a diameter of 4.7 mm. The reverse is undecorated. It has a length of 44.7 mm, is 9.9 mm wide and 5.3 mm thick. It weighs 6.7 g. The bar mount is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
