A complete copper alloy probable pommel from a sword, dagger or mace of probable Late Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1600). The probable pommel is almost cuboid in shape and hollow. The top of the probable pommel is circular at the top, with the edges bevelled to turn a square into a circle. A sub circular perforation is at the centre of the top, with an internal diameter of 7.2 mm. Several depressions are present at the surface suggesting it has been impacted by a heavier tool.
