A complete cast copper alloy knife end cap or pommel, of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1700). The knife end cap is sub square in plan and domed in section. The exterior has been decorated with a cast coiled twisted rope design around the base and the domed top has a series of concentric circles. Traces of gilding are present in the recesses. The reverse is concave or hollow. It measures 19.55 mm in length, 17.88 mm wide and 11.55 mm tall. It weighs 5.7 g. The knife end cap is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina.
