A late Medieval to early Post-Medieval incomplete sword belt hook, dating to the 16th century AD. This asymmetrical hook has foliate moulded relief decoration, defined by curvilinear grooves, and two rivet holes, both circular. One rivet hole has a diameter of 2.0mm and the other, that by the break, has a diameter of 1.5mm. The hook has broken off before the recurve. A Post-Medieval silver cufflink button of Lewis, M. form 1, type A (crown above two love-hearts). This artefact is complete but the edge of both discs have been bent. Two silver discs of sheet metal, almost identical, have been shaped and a loop soldered onto the reverse surface of each. A copper-alloy early Post-Medieval Class E, Type 3 circular bodied sharp-hooked dress hook (clasp). See Read, B. 2008, p.101, no.382. The artefact weighs 2.59g and the circular body is formed of a moulded relief and openwork design. The body of the dress hook has a diameter of 19.2mm and thickness of 1.3mm. A squashed but complete silver thimble, of later Post-Medieval to Modern date, formed by the deep drawing method of construction. This process started to be used in Birmingham from approximately the end of the 18th century AD (see Holmes, E. 1988, p.2.). However, in its bent condition it occupies a bent length of 60.4mm.
