A Post-Medieval silver penny of the Commonwealth dating to AD1649-1660.
The obverse depicts a sheild, bearing the St George cross, within wreath. Reverse depicts two shields, one bearing the St George cross the other an Irish harp, surmounted by: .I. No legend on either side of the flan. Die axis is between 5 & 6 o'clock. Weight is 0.45g, diameter is 13.9mm, thickness 0.5mm.

A pierced silver commonwealth half groat, AD 1649-1660. Obverse shows a single shield bearing the cross of St George surrounded by foliage. No Obverse legend. Reverse shows two shields, one bearing the cross of St George and the other an Irish cross, .II. above. No Reverse legend. The coin has been pierced through from the reverse to the obverse side. The peirced hole is circular in shape with a diameter 2.0mm and is set in from edge by 3.3mm.
Die axis is 3 o'clock. Weights is 0.87g, diameter is 17.7mm, thickness is 0.3mm.

A pierced Post-Medieval Commonwealth half-groat, AD 1649-1660. This coin has a small circular perforation, of 1.1mm diameter, set 1.8mm in from the edge of the flan. On the obverse side this perforation is just outside and to top left corner of the shield. North number 2728.
Reverse shows two shields side by side with (dot)II above. Obverse shows a single shield surrounded by a wreath. Neither side of the flan has a legend. Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 0.83g, diameter is 16.8mm, thickness is 0.5mm.

An almost complete silver hammered commonwealth coin, halfgroat, AD1649-1660. Obverse shows a single shield surrounded by foliate (laurel) wreath. The reverse shows two shields one filled with the cross shown on the shield of the obverse and the right-hand shield containing the image of a harp. Die axis is 6 o'clock. Weight is 0.81g, diameter is 15.28mm, thickness is 0.62mm. See Spink, 2007 (42nd Ed.) p.303, no.3221. Also Seaby's 14th Ed. p.179.
