A copper alloy spoon fragment. The trefid end of the handle only. The shaft of the handle is flat and rectangular in cross section, with slightly rounded short sides. The end of the handle flares out and terminates in a trefid end comprising a larger central lobe with a squared end, flanked by two smaller, more rounded lobes. It is undecorated. There is a large lump of iron corrosion adhering to one face. There are traces of a black coating on all surfaces. A fragment of a copper alloy (latten) seal top spoon. The fragment comprises the spoon knop only. The terminus is a flat oval disc which tapers down to two adjacent collars, the second being slightly narrower than the first. From the second collar, the knop then tapers gradually before expanding to a baluster which narrows before meeting another collar before the break . The disc, collars and baluster are all sub-circular in cross-section. There is no evidence of initials on the disc. The surfaces are heavily corroded. A complete lead alloy Post-Medieval slip top spoon. The bowl is 'fig' shaped. The stem has a faceted irregular hexagonal cross-section with a chamfered terminal (slip-top). There is a short V-shaped ridge on the rear of the bowl where the handle joins it. At the top of the bowl, set in line with the handle, is a stamped touch-mark in a rope border of the initials CF. A complete copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval slip top spoon. The bowl is 'fig' shaped. On the inside of the bowl below the handle is an illegible stamped initial. The stem has a hexagonal cross-section with a chamfered terminal. An incomplete latten spoon. A partial fig-shaped bowl and incomplete handle. The handle has an oval profile changing to a faceted irregular hexagonal profile nearer the bowl. There is a rose touch mark on the inside of the bowl. It is not possible to be certain of the style of the missing terminal, but the bowl and mark date to the 16th to mid 17th centuries. A lead alloy sliptop spoon. Broken into two pieces.The stem is oval in cross section with a tapered slip top terminal. The stem has broken away from the bowl where it flattens and starts to flare out. The slightly convex bowl is a broad "fig-shape" and the sides have been folded in in places. There are no visible touch marks. The alloy contains more lead than other metals (probably tin) resulting in it feeling heavy for its size. Post-medieval baluster seal spoon end. A cast copper alloy spoon top with baluster decoration and a remnant of the stem. The distal end is flat-topped and sub-circular in shape (the seal element of the term). Below this it constricts to a concentric rib with five rectangular indentations below. The spoon ton then widens out again into a rounded knop with fine, vertical, cut indentations (slightly off-set to the wider ones above).
