A flint blade probably dating for the Late Upper Palaeolithic or early Mesolith period, c.13,000-8,000BC. The object is sub-oval in plan and 'wedge-shaped' in cross-section. Each face is smooth and no remains of the cortex are left. The long narrow edge is sharp and there is a small amount of retouch. The retouch is short and sub-parallel at an abrupt angle. The thicker wedge like edge measures 14mm in thickness and has had 4 flakes removed from it. One tip of the object is triangular in section and possibly has been broken, measuring 5mm in thickness.
