Bulb of percussion on the top of the ventral with very slight ripples emanating outwards. Blade running down two thirds of the length of the artefact on either side. (When looking at the dorsal side) The right side blade has slight evidence of retouch, with pressure flakes being removed from the ventral side. Fragment of a Hand axe Late Palaeolithic 500,000-200,000 Length 71mm, width 42mm, thickness 19mm Acheulian hand axe. Flaking scars on both the ventral and dorsal sides around the edge, the tool is triangular in plan with an off centre point at the base. The flaking scars are large a crude and the edges have been worn smooth. The surface patina is light brown with off white mottling and small dark brown speckles throughout.

Sub-trapezoid shaped, bulb of percussion at the short side on top of the trapezoid, the ripples are widely spaced but pronounced. One arrise that runs form the top right corner down to the bottom left, this splits into two three quarters of the way down. The right half of the bottom edge has been retouched by pressure flaking from the ventral and there is slight retouch on the left edge.

Acheulian hand axe: There are large a crude flaking scars covering both the ventral and dorsal sides, the tool is cordiform in plan with a rounded butt, the tip has broken away exposing a light grey flint with lighter grey striations running across the break. The flint has is worn, particularly along the edges. One side has a light brown patina with a large off white patch and off white speckles, the other side has a off white patina with light orange patches. The artefact is made from flint length 144mm, width 97mm, thickness 36mm.
