Large Achuleian handaxe. It is a heavy butted, sub-cordate shape with a slight reversed S twist in profile. It is made from greensand chert. It has a heavy, creamy patina and some slight iron staining. There is no cortex visible. It is a well formed piece with shallow, invasive scars on both faces and a finely worked tip. There is (ancient) heavy wear on both faces and the flake ridges have been abraded to 1-2mm in width. The edges have been crushed in antiquity. There is no modern damage.

A possibly palaeolithic bi-facially worked tool. A small, abraded flint implement. Roughly triangular shaped, with a thick, irregular cross section. There is some nodule cortex remaning on the dorsal surface. It has been flaked on both faces. The core flint is banded pale grey and it is thickly patinated to a honey colour. Some plough damage.
