A flint axehead of Neolithic date, 133mm in length, struck from a mottled grey flint and bifacially worked. The axehead is symmetrical on two axes and has a lenticular cross section, flaring smoothly to a rounded cutting edge 58.7mm wide. There is a large area of damage to the front edge which may be post depositional in origin. There are no areas of polishing. A patch of white cortex is retained at the centre of one face.

Complete end scraper of conventional form; made from a secondary, hard hammer struck flake of glossy black flint with some inclusions, steeply retouched at the distal end to form the semi-circular scraping edge, small patch of sandy coloured thin cortex extant to one lateral side, showing the outside curve of the flint nodule this was struck from. A very useful tool in the initial preparation of fresh hides for tanning, effective in removing the subcutaneous fat from just below the surface of the skin. Neolithic, 4,000 to 2,350 BC.

A complete knapped stone axehead of late Neolithic date, c. 2700 - 2300 BC.  The axehead is formed of a coarse brown stone. It is sub-ovate in plan; narrower at the butt end with sides which widen to the crescentic cutting edge. The axe has a humped profile and an irregular oval cross section. The surface of one side is pitted. The axehead is 81.2mm long, 44.6mm wide, 22.1mm thick and weighs 92.5g. It is impossible to source axes such as these without a detailed petrological analysis of the rock. This would allow the original source of the rock to be established.

On the dorsal surface there are flake scars and two roughly parallel longitudinal flake scar ridges down the middle, leaving lower left and right margins as 'beveled' edges with abrupt retouch. There is a possible notch on the left distal edge.

One long edge has retouch along what appears to be the line of a break to refine a blunted edge running to the sharp point. The base has long low angle sub parallel retouch and is slightly hollowed.

A grey flint end scraper of possible Neolithic date. The scraper is circular in plan and  ovate in section and has been re-worked with a soft-hammer touch around one long edge. The ventral side has a pronounced bulb of percussion and rippling suggesting hard hammer working, and the dorsal side has been worked all around its edge, also with prominent ripples present.

Fine-grained Limestone saddle quern. A neat sub-rectangular block of stepped wedge-shaped profile, worn on its upper surface with a flat base which is indented only at its thicker end. The form is Neolithic, and a saddle quern would be used with a separate cobble grinding stone to grind corn to a coarse flour, and hence marks the advent of arable farming in the area whence it was reported. Saddle quern made from a coarse-grained quartz dolerite or diabase erratic, mid-grey with numerous lighter coloured coarse inclusions, the centre appears to have been hollowed by use to depth of c. 50 mm, the depression is sub-circular: c. 130 x 150 mm. The outside of the stone is very roughly and minimally shaped to a sub-bowl shape, one edge is especially straight and is ground almost smooth, presumably to enable the contents to be tipped out once processed.
