A complete Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age flint knife (c. 2500 BC-c. 1500 BC).
The knife has been manufactured on a blade an is near crescent-shaped in plan. It is convex at the front and flat the rear.
The dorsal face has been invasively retouched over the whole surface and has a small areas of a brown cortex. At the rear there is a bulb of percussion with related ripples.
This semi-translucent flint is reddish brown and is in perfect condition.

The implement is an end 'horseshoe end-scraper. It has a small striking platform and the dorsal surface has a large negative bulb of percussion with ripples. About 75% of the edges have been retouched and has semi-abrupt, short sub-parallel removals. The ventral surface has a large bulb of percussion with a percussion scar and has no ripples.
This implement is mottled light grey and creamy off-white and has a small patch of light brown cortex on the ventral face.

The dorsal face has a small area of grey cortex and has been worked at the distal end and around one side. The removals are semi-abrupt and sub-parallel.
The ventral face has a large bulb of percussion and a small percussion scar. There are no ripples and the surface is quite featureless.
The surfaces are shiny and mottled light grey and creamy.

The dorsal face is covered with about 80% of buff cortex and has semi-abrupt, sub-parallel removals at the distal end. Each side has also been trimmed. All the arrises are sharp. The ventral surface has a small striking platform and a bulb of percussion with faint associated ripples.

A complete Late Neolithic flint oblique arrowhead manufactured on a tertiary flake (2500 BC-2100 BC).
This arrowhead is sub-triangular in plan. On one face, the longer side with the barb has been retouched over its whole length. The shorter side has been retouched over its whole length on both faces. At the concave base it has been retouched on both faces.
The surfaces are mainly dark grey.

The dorsal face is convex and has been worked at the distal end, about half way along one side and nearly the whole length of the others side. All the arrises are sharp. About 70% of the surface is covered with buff cortex.
The removals are semi-abrupt and largely parallel.
The ventral face has a small striking platform, a large bulb of percussion and a percussion scar. There are no ripples and the surface is quite featureless.

A complete Neolithic to Bronze Age flint implement (3500 BC-800 BC).
This very large implement appears to be a discoidal knife or scraper.
It is sub-circular in plan and pointed-oval in side view. One side is slightly more convex than the other side. It has been flaked on both faces and each face has a small area of cortex.
The surfaces are generally coloured dark grey and light grey with some buff areas. The darker areas are shiny and the lighter areas are matt.

A fragment of a Neolithic flint axehead (3500 BC-2100 BC).
This fragment is the butt end of a slender axehead. It has been bi-facially knapped. In plan, the butt is semi-circular and the sides flare outwards and downwards towards an oblique break. However, the sides are almost parallel. In side view, it is sub-triangular, pointed at the top and is pointed-oval in cross-section. The arrises are sharp although most are not very pronounced.

The implement is an elongated and sub-oval in plan, sub-triangular in cross-section. The dorsal surface has two negative blade removals and about 40% of the surface is buff cortex. It has been trimmed irregularly around the edges on this face. There are multiple striking scars at the proximal end.

The implement is an elongated and sub-oval in plan, sub-triangular in cross-section. The dorsal surface has four negative blade removals and has been steeply worked at the distal end to produce a cutting edge. It appears to have been retouched along both edges. However, this may have been created whilst in contact with mobile sand and shingle. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion at the proximal end.

An almost complete Neolithic polished stone axehead (3500 BC-2100 BC).
This axehead is an elongated oval-shape in plan, pointed-oval in side view and oval in cross-section.
In plan the sides are slightly convex. They flare out and down from the butt and then taper inwards towards the evenly curved cutting edge. The surfaces are coarse and pitted but are smoother at the front and rear close to the cutting edge.
It has a mottled buff/orange/grey surface. However, where recent breaks have occurred, the inside is dark grey.
The cutting edge is sharp.

The flat ventral face has several ripples but has no bulb of percussion. It has an oval formation near one end where there is a hinge fracture. It is unclear what age this fracture may be.

This axehead is narrow and slender. It is pointed oval in plan and side view. The upper half has been flaked on both sides and the lower half is polished. It is possible that the axehead was originally polished overall and may have been remodelled by flaking over the polished area. A complete flint pick of probable Early Neolithic date (3500 BC-2900 BC).
The pick is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section. It has been made from an elongated flint pebble and has been almost knapped overall. There is a small amount of cortex at the butt end. The arrises are generally sharp. The asymmetrical cutting edge is not particularly sharp.
This pick is light grey with some creamy mottling. The cortex is orange buff and there are three natural voids.
This implement, similar to many others found in the Isle of Wight, is probably a local product as flint…
