A complete Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint retouch flake. Formed on a tertiary flake. Long and narrow in shape. There is a small amount of short to long, abrupt, sub-parallel retouch along the distal end and a patches of fine, short, semi-abrupt retouch along the right side of the dorsal face. The butt is narrow and the bulb of percussion prominant. The flint is light brown in colour. Milky patination covers the butt only. Length: 34.91mm, width: 23.02mm, thickness: 7.83mm, weight: 7.50g

Tertiary greensand chert flake, probably dating from the Neolithic to early Bronze Age. The ventral face is convex at the proximal end, becoming concave towards the distal end. The dorsal face has four large flaking scars and rises to form a blunt point towards the proximal end. The flake has a fairly narrow butt and pronounced bulb on the ventral face with clear rippling (though this is obscured slightly by later wear), suggesting that a small, hard hammer was used. There are no signs of further retouch. The chert is orange-brown in colour and coarse grained. It is fairly worn and pit…

Large notched secondary flint flake, of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date. The dorsal face is highly convex in shape with four long flaking scars running from the proximal end and five further scars running in the opposite direction at the distal end on the left-hand side. This suggests that the object is possibly a large rejuvenation flake removed from a blade core. The flake is pointed at both ends, with an apparently deliberately worked notch on the right-hand side at the distal end. The flake is otherwise unworked. There is a very small amount of cortex remaining on the left-ha…

Large worked and notched tertiary flint flake of Neolithic to Bronze Age date. The flake is sub-triangular in form. The dorsal face has two long removals, running its length, with a smaller one on the right-hand side. The left-hand side of the ventral face has short, semi-abrupt, scaled removals running from about one third of the way up, culminating in a small worked notch close to the distal end. The flint ranges in colour from light to dark grey, speckled with white. Length: 47.59mm, Width: 30.72mm, Thickness: 6.71mm Weight: 8.59g
